Description
A good German trade violin modelled on Paolo Maggini (classic double purfling and extra turn on the scroll) with a very nice one-piece back. Overall good structural condition, just one small (9mm) tear in the rib (on the non-hand resting side) as per the accompanying image. Light golden, slightly brown varnish has a little wear and marking but looks lovely and very authentic for this vintage. Good strong and even sound to suit a confident player.
Checked and adjusted for correct playing by our in-store violin repairer. Fitted with new Pirastro Obligato strings and a German Wittner tailpiece with built in fine tuners. Priced as instrument only – case options available at additional cost.
