Description
This is a secondhand high quality Chinese “Montagnana” model (broad body) cello with a nice, strong, resonant sound. In very good physical and playing condition, we have strung it with Larsen A & D strings and Jargar G & C strings for a good balance. Subtly antiqued orange/gold varnish is very attractive and is in good condition. Well chosen timbers with nicely flamed maple back, ribs and scroll and a fine, even grained spruce top.
The cello is supplied in a bold red very lightweight (4.2kg) polycarbonate case (some scuffing/wear marks as per images) with wheels and backstraps for ease of transportation.
This cello would be ideal for an intermediate to advanced player seeking a good sounding instrument that will be a delight to play and own.
