Description
2.4GHz system includes omni-directional cello microphone transmitter and matching receiver unit to plug into 3.5mm or 1/4″ (via included adapter) socket on a DI box or into a mixing desk, direct into a powered speaker, or into a PA system, computer or even a phone (for recording) with 3.5mm socket.
Recharge transmitter and receiver come with a twin USB cable as they need to be recharged before each use (they last for a good few hours).
Since this is a microphone and not a pickup, it preserves the actual sound of your cello rather than turning it into an edgy “electric cello” which tends to happen with most pickups. The tiny microphone mounts directly behind the bridge using a special cradle that clips easily on and off the strings. The transmitter unit is connected by a thin 1.5m cable that can be looped up and cable tied to your tailpiece, or clipped on your belt, or clipped on your music stand (though the latter two options carry the risk that you may trip on the cable or jerk the mic off the cello when you walk away if you forget you have the transmitter on your person). Volume adjustments can be made with the up/down buttons on the transmitter unit.
Multiple units can be used at the same time (we’ve tried at least two, you may get more, perhaps four), so no problem if others in your group (we have great violin models in stock) or quartet also want to use these units at the same time.
For best results on stage and to minimize feedback, always try and position cello away from stage monitors (speakers) as much as possible.
Carry case included.
