Description
Very good quality German (Mittenwald/Karwendel) viola labelled 1984 by this well established maker. Very solid build with highly flamed maple back. Good condition structurally, excellent dark, projecting sound to suit advanced player; golden orange varnish, reconditioned with new bridge and new Kaplan Amo (“warmth, richness and flexibility for brighter instruments”) strings. Some wear evident on varnish on scroll as per image.
