Scott Cao instruments are well made and represent good value, in this instance for a confident beginning to intermediate player. The outfit includes a deluxe oblong case and a good student bow. The instrument is fitted with either Thomastic Dominant or Pirastro Tonica strings and a Wittner tailpiece with built-in fine tuners for accurate tuning. Pegs and chin rest are ebony.
