Pre-war (probably 1920’s/30’s) Kamaka Pineapple shaped soprano ukulele, handmade in Hawaii. All koa wood. Excellent condition and amazingly good rich, projecting sound.
As is common with these vintage ukes there is slight bowing of the top in front of the bridge but it is not causing any issues. There is also a difficult to see crack line on the back but this does not appear to be open and so may either have been repaired previously or possibly is not all the way through the wood. It too does not appear to be causing any issues. The vintage case is missing its handle but we may be able to assist with a remedy/replacement for this.
This rare instrument is a collector or serious player’s dream, well priced, and not easy to find in this condition.
